Mobility Navigator
DEFINITION: FT
The Mobility Navigator develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with social service providers, non-profit agencies, and participants to assist in meeting the transportation and mobility needs in the AAA 3 seven-county service area. The Mobility Navigator assists with implementation strategies and annual updates to the Regional Transportation Plan. This position is contingent upon continued future grant funding. Reports to
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license, access to an automobile, and automobile insurance meeting the minimum requirements of state law.
Genuine interest in the Mission of Area Agency on Aging 3.
Highly proficient in computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in an effective manner.
Must be willing to travel.
Final candidate must agree to a BCII Criminal Records Check, which includes fingerprinting and pre-employment drug screen at the expense of the Area Agency on Aging 3.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and implement the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans in partnership with the Mobility Manager.
Coordinate, review and monitor program goals and outcomes to ensure performance and compliance standards are achieved.
Coordinate and manage the Ohio Department of Transportation Mobility Management website activity.
Review and update the locally coordinated public transit-human service transportation plans annually.
Attend community meetings as requested by Mobility Manager.
Work to implement Gohio Commute in all seven counties as a ride-share option.
Act as Road to Recovery Volunteer Coordinator.
Work in conjunction with RSVP program to implement a volunteer driving program.
Meet one-on-one with: riders, major employers, economic development groups, local business association, human service agencies, local governments and funders to research and develop transportation solutions.
Provide and expand access to information about transportation providers, transportation options, and referrals. Advocate for alternative transportation solutions for community members.
Coordinate local Car Fit events.
Conduct education and outreach in all seven counties.
Assist with research and development of funding opportunities and writing grants.
